Primed by past experience in indie bands, Gavin Elsted exercises his love of melodic, hazy dancefloor tracks through his project Adultrock. His debut release, Chants EP, (which was approved by James Holden and John Talabot), gets a followup on June 24th through Bodytonic Music. On Push and Pull EP, Elsted pushes his earlier ideas even further, incorporating his own vocals and a more hardware-heavy recording ethos. His live show, based around a bank of analogue machines that allows him carte blanche for improvisation depending on his surroundings, veers from gentle ambience to rough and ready techno workouts. An exciting proposition from an artist always trying to progress.
